Teaching and Learning Coordinator

The successful candidate will be responsible for  supporting teachers in improving their practice in their classrooms through a range of strategies including, but not limited to, coaching, demonstration lessons, joint planning and guided observations.

The post holder will be responsible, under the guidance of a deputy principal, for leading the development, implementation and monitoring of projects and initiatives to improve teaching and learning.

*Required qualifications, experience & special skills include the following:

    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject from a recognized institution with some prior experience in managing people and subject areas. Formal teacher training/qualification as specified in the Department of Education Services policy on Teacher Qualifications. Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience as a teacher with a demonstrated track record of successful teaching and learning, working with students and colleagues from a wide range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Experience of working with teachers in a supportive, developmental or training capacity. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Effective management skills, with the ability to lead by example. IT literate, with knowledge and experience of best practice in the use of school information management system. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to students, parents, colleagues, and other education stakeholders.
