Please note the information below which includes a list of documents required from you to complete your submissions at the end of Fall and Spring semesters to get your next disbursement of scholarship funds. Submission requirements continue throughout your programme whilst you are on scholarship even if your funding has been withdrawn due to poor GPA performance. If you are on a trimester or quarter system then the submissions are at the end of each trimester or quarter. Please note that all submissions should be sent to scholarships@gov.ky.

   

We will be very busy with the processing of grade/receipts submissions and are asking that you ensure that you provide all required information in order for this process to run efficiently as possible. Please also be advised that the disbursements of funds for the Fall semesters take place from the 1st week of August each year and the distributions for the Spring semesters take place from 15th Dec each year. Should you have any issues with this date kindly, provide a specific written request outlining your issues and also provide supporting documentation from your university. Please note that there are no guarantees for early disbursement and this will be subject to the receipt of the Government budget.

   

Please provide all of the required documents so that your next disbursement, if one is due to you, can be processed as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please also provide confirmation of the name of the individual who will be collecting your cheque on your behalf or if you require a deposit to your account if you will not be on Island (account details must be provided).

   

For those returning students please ensure you provide the following documents with your return submissions:

   
           
  • Fall / Spring semester grade report showing semester and cumulative GPA (full screen shot from the university portal pasted into a word document and attached to your email)
  •        
  • Fall / Spring account statement from the university (full screen shot from the university portal pasted into a word document and attached to your email)
  •        
  • Copies of rent, utility, books & airline tickets receipts that funds were used against.
  •        
  • Degree Audit up to the end of Spring semester showing progress of course.
  •        
  • Unofficial transcript (as is provided from the university portal)
  •        
  • Next semester registration whether Fall / Spring (full screen shot from the university portal pasted into a word document and attached to your email). UK students should be providing a confirmation document from your university to confirm your registration as well as screen shot from your student portal to show the modules you are taking.
  •    
   

For those students who received Academic Warning due to Fall / Spring grades, please note that no disbursements of funds will take place prior to your submission of grade results for Spring / Fall and other supporting documentation noted above. There are no exceptions to this rule.

   

For those students who have completed their degrees please ensure that you provide the following documents: Fall / Spring semester grade report (full screen shot from the university portal pasted into a word document and attached to your email):

   
           
  • Fall / Spring account statement from the university (full screen shot from the university portal pasted into a word document and attached to your email)
  •        
  • Copies of rent, utility, books & airline tickets receipts that funds were used against.
  •        
  • Unofficial transcript (as is provided from the university portal)
  •        
  • Degree Audit up to the end of Spring semester showing completion of course.
  •        
  • Copy of the degree you have been awarded (if available).
  •    
   

Please note that we do not accept jpeg or pdf versions of the grade reports. PDF’s of account statements is ok. Please also do not paste your screen shots into your email they must be pasted into a word document and attached to the email. (multiple screen shots may be required) Please also ensure that your name and the university logo is visible as well as the term date.
