The Young Scientist Club is an interactive physical and research science after school programme for students at George Town Primary. For the past five months, members have engaged in science investigation and chemistry.
Recently, the group took on the challenge of DNA (De-oxy-ribo-nucleic acid) in which they learned to extract DNA from plants, fruits, and beans."DNA is really important because it is the code for all living things just like zeroes and ones are the code for computers", said member Elianna Charles-Anglin.
The school registered for the upcoming Google Science Fair and will be collaborating with former GTPS Science Club member in high school to enter their project.
