Educational Facilities Planning Services
TENDER CLOSED
On behalf of the Cayman Islands Government (CIG), the Ministry of Education, Training, Employment, Youth, Sports & Culture invites tenders from qualified Educational Planning firms for the provision services as described below.
The services required include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct an educational adequacy assessment of all existing educational facilities by utilizing recognized international methods and tools;
- Assist in the development of a Capital Works Plan
- Provide training to Education staff that will assist and sustain educational reform in the learning environment;
- Review existing vocational, technology and career/adult education programs and recommend suitable reform strategies to meet global standards;
- Develop and implement a methodology that will involve stakeholders in learning how to better design and use the teaching environment;
- Provide educational planning and design consulting services for future new schools
Interested firms in the design of the new schools will need to meet the following eligibility criteria in order to be considered and evaluated:
- have 5 years of experience in providing direction and advise to Governments and or School Boards in the above mentioned services;
- have experience with providing educational facilities planning for non-traditional school designs;
- have proven experience and knowledge of international best practices for the use of and design of educational facilities
- hold the designation of "REFP" (Recognized Education Facility Professional ) or equivalent
- Possess an Architectural background

The deadline for submitting tenders is 10:00 a.m., on or before 29th September 2006. Tenders must be submitted in a sealed envelope to:

Late tenders will not be accepted. CIG will not defray any cost incurred by applicants submitting tenders. The Cayman Islands Government shall not be bound to assign any reason for not accepting any tender.
