Notebook PC’s for use in Government Schools

The Ministry of Education invites the submission of tenders from interested parties for the provision of Notebook PC’s for use in Government schools.

The equipment required should comprise:

165 Notebook PC’s with the following minimum specifications:

• Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
• 1 GB RAM
• 80 GB Hard Drive
• DVD/CD-RW Drive
• Integrated Wireless Capability and 10/100/1000 NIC
• 14.1” Widescreen
• Windows XP Pro
• Warranty Package
• Carrying Case

Tender documents will be issued on application to interested parties. The tender package will include details of equipment specifications required.

The contract will be awarded in a timely manner so that the order can be placed as soon as possible.

The criteria to be used in evaluating the tender will include:

1. Price of Equipment – (Weighting: 50%)
2. Warranty – (Weighting: 20%)
3. Experience and Stability of Company – (Weighting: 10%)
4. Timing – (Weighting: 20%)

Interested parties should contact the Ministry (details below), requesting a copy of the tender document package. Completed documents must be returned (details below) in a sealed envelope clearly marked with ‘Tender for Provision of Notebook PC’s for Use in Government Schools’ on or before 12:00 p.m. on 23rd March, 2007.

The CIG shall not be bound to assign any reason for not accepting any tender and will not defray any cost incurred by applicants.
