I.T. Infrastructure and Email System

The Ministry of Education, Training, Employment, Youth, Sports & Culture invites the submission of tenders from interested parties for the provision of a new centralized I.T. infrastructure and email system for Government Schools.

The new centralized I.T. infrastructure and email system should comprise:

• 2 domain controllers
• High-availability Microsoft Exchange email solution including front-end and back-end servers
• Managed firewall
• Backup solution
• Server management imaging system
• Infrastructure management server
• Remote access for 500+ users to email solution

Tenders can be submitted for a single solution or portions of the above stated services.

Tender documents will be issued on application to interested parties. The tender package will include details of equipment specifications required.

The contract will be awarded in a timely manner so that the order can be placed as soon as possible.

The criteria to be used in evaluating the tender will include:

• Quality of overall proposal and suggested network design
• Response to RFP Worksheet detailing
  1. Organizational profile (including experience with similar projects in the Cayman Islands and perceived company stability)
  2. Expertise (including 5 or more years working in I.T. implementation and support, along with the academic and technical qualifications of person(s) to be used in the project)
• Cost of all hardware and software including licenses;
• Consulting Fees, professional fees and implementation expenses;
• Timing of project completion;

Interested parties should contact the Ministry of Education, Training, Employment, Youth, Sports and Culture (details below), requesting a copy of the tender document package. Completed documents must be returned to the Ministry of Education, Training, Employment, Youth, Sports & Culture in a sealed envelope clearly marked with ‘Centralized I.T. Infrastructure and Email System for Government Schools’ on or before 12 p.m. on 30th March, 2007.

The Ministry of Education, Training, Employment, Youth, Sports & Culture shall not be bound to assign any reason for not accepting any tender and will not defray any cost incurred by applicants.
