Supply and Installation of 400 Lux Lights and Tilt Down Hyraulic Light Poles

Project Scope
On Behalf of the Cayman Islands Government (CIG), the Ministry of Education, Training, Employment, Youth, Sports & Culture (the Client) intends to proceed with the INSTALLATION OF 400 LUX LIGHTS AND TILT DOWN HYDRAULIC LIGHT POLES AND CONSTRUCTION OF ELECTRICAL ROOM AT TEACHER TIMOTHY McFIELD FOOTBALL FIELD located in the district of George Town. On completion, the facility will be handed over to the Department of sports, who will be responsible for its operation.
Description of Services
The services required include, but are not limited to, Supply and installation of Four Tilt down Hydraulic light Poles 20 meters tall, installation of 11 challenger lights per pole and construction of electrical room. A full scope of works will be contained in the tender documentation package.
Eligibility
Interested firms will need to meet the following eligibility criteria in order to be considered and evaluated.
- Ability to acquire contractors all risk insurance to a minimum value of CI $1,000,000.00
- Companies or individuals bidders must comply with all applicable local laws including business registrations, pensions and other regulations and any other regulations.
- Bidders are reminded that the bids should be inclusive of all cost necessary for them to conduct business in the Cayman Islands.
Evaluation
The criteria for evaluation and the relative points weighting will be included in the tender documentation, Particular attention is drawn to the securing of firms with experience of similar project size and type.

Return of Tenders
Bids are to be returned no later than 10:00am on June 20th 2008 in a sealed envelope to:

Further Information
All bidders are requested to submit any question they may have five days prior to the tender return date. These questions and the answers will be posted on our website: www.brighterfutures.gov.ky five days prior to the tender return date.
Late bids will not be accepted, CIG will not defray any cost incurred by bidders. The Cayman Islands Government shall not be bound to assign any reason for not accepting any tender.
